Riff Khan-Hinton Producer
The man behind Lucid Pictures, Studied film production at
the crosswind film school, set up by Steve Bernstein in the 80’s
and the New York film academy. On his return to UK started working
at Pinewood studios there worked on a number of large films including
SANTA CLAUSE: The Movie, Starring Dudley More, Haunted Honey Moon
starring and Directed by Gene Wilder and a James Bond film FOR YOUR
EYES ONLY starring Roger More. After a gap of few years Riff returned
to films with his own projects and to establish relationships with
unique and fresh artistic talent to astute financial packages and
to ensure that lucid pictures will be clearly entertaining and strongly
commercial.
Farrukh Dhondy - Writer
Educated at Poona university and Pembroke college, Cambridge,
Farruk Dhondy,is a famed novelist and screenwriter. As the commissioner
editor of channel 4, he understood the need for fashioning individual
yet accessible visions. He created the television comedy, Tandoori
Nights, starring Saeed Jaffrey and directed by Jon Ameil. He went
on to write screen plays for a number of feater films including
Bandit Queen: Directed by Shaker Kapoor. Salaam Bombay Directed
by Mira Nayer, Red Mercury (2005) starring Pete Postlethwaite.
The Rising(2006) starring Amir Khan and Toby Stevens, directed
by Keetan Metha.
Most recently he has written the screen plays for A bend in the
river based on a novel written by noble prize winner V S Naipul
and to be directed by Oscar winner Hugh Hudson, and The Carpet
Boy. Farrukh draws upon his wealth of experience to connect Lucid
to a dynamic network of film industry professionals here in UK
and India.
